Calligraphy is an art. An art, which nowadays is slowly disappearing. I can see it on my own crooked letters, the more crooked, the more I write using the keyboard.
Although today I have no need to write a traditional, with pen, I reach for this technique. It requires me much more precise movements. Here, even these small movements of the wrist and fingers, which must be coordinated through my mind, are of great importance.
Realizing the difficulty of the technique and its demands on the body and mind of the writer, worth to the kids mastered it well. In the end, learning to write, and more specifically cursive writing, is not just the ability to record own thoughts.
